Meet Amy! Amy is one of the owners and founders of Home Grown. Amy grew up in Palestine, Texas. After meeting her husband, Greg, at Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA), they were married and returned to Livingston where Greg worked at his family's business and she taught school. The change of pace between her college life and the new town that she reluctantly called 'home' was a bit of a shock. She knew right away this place was different but it took years before she could truly see why. Twenty-two years and three children later, they are both so assured that this is where God placed them and where they were to invest and live.

TAMMI OGLETREE

Meet Tammi! Tammi is one of the owners and founders of Home Grown. Tammi moved to Livingston the summer of 1983 as she was about to enter her freshman year of high school. Her father was the new youth minister of Central Baptist Church and they lived in the little parsonage right beside it. They had moved from West Monroe, Louisiana, to this small town that didn’t even have a McDonalds at the time! Before she was to graduate Baylor University in fall 1991 with a B.B.A. in Business Education. She received a phone call offering her a job to be the Business Administrator for Camp Cho-Yeh in, of all places, Livingston. When working for Cho-Yeh, she was reacquainted with a friend who would soon be her husband. She and Ben III have been married for 25 years and have raised their four children here. She would have never imagined that when she moved here that summer, she would make this place home for the rest of her life.

KYLIE MCLENDON

Meet Kylie! Kylie has been working with us since last September and has become a great asset to our team. She has the sweetest heart and such a creative soul.  She graduated from Full Sail University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in graphic design and has shown to be the perfect fit for us. Many of the custom signs, personalized items, and T-shirt designs are done with the help of Kylie. She has also recently started Kylie McLendon Design Studio and has started her own brand of earrings that she sales out of the shop. Kylie is married to Daniel McLendon and you can typically find them up on stage together leading worship on Sundays and Wednesdays for First Baptist Church. They both have been such a blessing to our community and we can’t wait to see where the future takes us working with Kylie. “It is such a blessing to be able to work at HomeGrown. Everyday is a new opportunity to meet new people and see how diverse and beautiful this community can be. I’m so thankful to be a part of such a loving and supportive place." -Kylie

HOLLY LEWIS

Meet Holly! Holly joined our fun little town about sixteen years ago and has been our friend ever since. You might recognize Holly from one of the many ways that she has given back to our community. She has raised two handsome boys, Zane and Corey, alongside Amy and I and has been a fellow Believer for Relay for Life since day one. You might also catch her on a Sunday mornings attending church with her family or volunteering on Wednesday nights with the youth program. Holly has always had a passion for mission work and has traveled to Guatemala to serve God’s children providing dental care and building homes. Holly has been a light to so many and we couldn’t be happier that she has decided to join our team here at HomeGrown working with us in our workshop. “Working at HomeGrown gives me an opportunity to do something I enjoy with girls I love hanging out with. It’s not just a job, its an adventure.” Holly.

LINDA DAILING

Meet Linda! You may have come in and noticed the friendly girl behind the counter. That’s her! We met Linda almost five years ago through Amy’s small group and she has stuck with us ever since. Linda is currently attending Stephen F. Austin State University working towards obtaining a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. Her plan is to work with the at-risk population of our community and to be obedient in serving God’s children. She has also served alongside Amy in working with the youth program at First Baptist. Linda is great at loving on our customers and making them feel right at home. She keeps us laughing here at HomeGrown between her weird food concoctions, dramatic stories and her "Tammi O ways". We are so happy Linda has decided to come work for us and can’t wait for the adventures to come. “This community has become my family. It has taken me in and loved on me in ways that I will be eternally thankful for. That’s why I have loved working for HomeGrown. Not only am I being led by two of the most influential and resilient women, who have been two of my greatest blessings, but it has become my way to be in and of this community and has allowed me to interact and to meet new people.” – Linda
